Year 7 2027 classes open for enrolment in October 2026

Is your child currently in Year 6? Our new Year 7 classes for 2027 students are opening in October this year. We run one term ahead of school so all students in the new classes will be in the last term of Year 6 at school.

Students will be introduced to the rigours of textual analysis and academic writing, using literature from across the world and from different eras as springboards. We train our students to think critically, harnessing their own intellect rather than relying on AI and other digital platforms. Our aim is to lay the foundations for the skills required in the HSC and IB English curriculums.

HSC English Masterclass series

Our Masterclass program is designed to offer students insight into the key objectives of the respective English modules, and text specific information that will act as a springboard for essay discussion.

The classes are interactive, with Dr Kumar presenting the content and Dr Swiatek responding to questions over Zoom chat in real time. Students are provided with a resource that contains:

- sample thesis statements, 

- sample concept statements for paragraphs, 

- sample paragraphs of analysis, 

- and sample exam questions to practice formulating essays.

Year 11 and Year 12 HSC and IB

There are limited one-to-one and microclass afternoon and evening classes for seniors available for 2026 with our teachers.

Term classes for Juniors

There are limited spaces available in our face-to-face Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 term classes at our Chatswood classrooms.

In our English classes, we offer no short cuts and no quick fixes. In keeping with the discipline of English, we focus on deep, critical thinking, and reading beautiful literature that explores the best and worst of humanity. We train our students to think critically, harnessing their own intellect rather than relying on AI and other digital platforms.

Online Course for Juniors

If your timetable prevents you from attending our junior classes, we offer an online English tuition package for Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. Links to Dr Kumar’s lesson recordings are sent to you each week to complete in your own time.

The package includes an online writing centre for one hour every Saturday where students have a supportive space to ask Dr Kumar questions regarding the online course content or their English school work. Please email us at info@ecriture.com.au for more information.

Intensive Holiday Courses for Juniors

New face-to-face junior holiday classes are open for enrolment. The holiday programs are a compressed version of Dr Kumar’s weekly term program. Students will engage in a series of intensive two hour classes, with the aim of developing their skills of textual interpretation and analytical writing. For more information, click here.
